The ranking uses proved natural-gas reserves as the organizing concept and follows the latest available international statistical framework. OPEC's 2026 Annual Statistical Bulletin reports world proved natural-gas reserves of 219.61 trillion standard cubic metres for 2025.
Country figures in this launch prototype are rounded reference values assembled from international and national statistical sources. Before publication, material figures should be refreshed against OPEC, the Energy Institute, EIA and relevant national authorities.
